<b>ABOUT US</b>
Harborne Hockey Club was formed in 1903 and has had its clubhouse at Harborne Cricket Club for the majority of that time. HHC were members of the first ever National League and indeed scored the first ever goal in the National League.
We are currently the best non-student hockey club in Birmingham, with our Men's 1st XI riding high at 3rd place in the National League Conference North and our Ladies 1st XI in the highest division on the Midlands League.
The 2008/09 season was one of Harborne’s most successful for several years. Winning the Midlands Premier Division the 1st Team are rightfully returning to the now England Hockey National League (North Conference) for the 2009/10.
The 2nd XI were also promoted as overwhelming Champions of Midlands Division 1, winning 21 out of 22 matches and will be competing in the 2nd Team Midlands Premier League.
The 5th XI were another side promoted to the West Midlands Premier Division and will meet the 4th XI in 2009/10.
In the Ladies section, the 3rd XI were Champions of Worcestershire Division 2, being undefeated all season.
The 1st XI survived a very competitive first season in the Midlands Premier Division.
Harborne currently have 11 teams playing competitive hockey on a regular basis, 6 men and 5 ladies sides, plus fielding summer league teams and a mixed team. This season also sees a new Youth Section arrive at Harborne Hockey Club.
Last season all of the men’s teams played within the Bodykraft Midlands Regional Leagues.
