It's fair to say, the hockey in the first half was not pretty! A lot needed to be said at the half time talk to get our heads in the game and focussing on the basics. But what ever our super coach said (can't quite remember it all), it worked. We had a much better 2nd half with good intensity and fighting to get back possession when we lost it. A goal came from a well worked short corner which saw Harborne scored the only goal of the match. An excellent result taking us 7 points clear at the top of the table. Goal from Mel Farquar and MOM to Mary Quinton. Outstanding performances from Jimmy Meyer in goal, Sarah Williams and Abigail Hughes too. Well done to Milky, Kirsty, Sarah and Becs for doubling up and playing for the 2s first. And huge thanks to Turd for travelling to both games to coach.
