Our mixed team of 4’s and 5’s played their first game of the season and we certainly felt the heat. We got off to a good start with a goal within 15 minutes by Anisha M. Barford pressed but our defence and our goalie stood strong and prevented them getting one back.
In the second half we worked harder to pass the ball around which allowed us to run a little less (always good when you’ve barely run for months). We had a number of chances that we couldn’t quite put away and Barford had a period of continued pressure but we just about kept them out. Phil A managed to secure the win for us and put our second in the back of the net.
No MoM vote was taken as it was too hot for my brain to function, but my vote goes to Ella.
